Crocmedia, a program syndicator and one of the largest independent sports radio producers in Australia, has recently obtained the exclusive commercial radio rights to Football Federation Australia (FFA). The attainment of these rights will see Crocmedia join in on a landmark deal of five years.
Crocmedia Agreement
What this five-year agreement means is that Crocmedia will be able to supply mass distribution of any games involving the FFA, across metropolitan, regional radio as well as online audiences in both Australia and New Zealand. This will kick off during the season of the 2017/18 Hyundai A-League.
This is FFA’s very first commercial radio deal. What’s great about this agreement is that it is a reflection of how much Australian football continues to grow. With the increased consumption of FFA content, which is inclusive of national teams as well as two national leagues, it is great to now have extra coverage of the events for Australian Football fans.
In addition, Crocmedia, being the master radio rights holder, will set the foundation for the brand of the Football Nation. Allowing for football fans to have a better connection with soccer as a sport.
Crocmedia Radio Rights
What the radio rights include is a live match call, as well as a supplementary broadcast programming. This will occur both via Australian and New Zealand radio as well as online streams.
The Football Nation is expected to be broadcast on the following Super Radio Networks:
- 21 Regional NSW Stations.
- Adelaide’s Fiveaa
- Perth’s 6PR
- South-East Queensland
- Other markets that are yet to be announced
David Gallop, FFA CEO, excitedly claims that this partnership will assist in an increased and speedy growth of soccer.
More so, Craig Hutchison, CEO of Crocmedia states that they would be leveraging other programs and media assets to enhance interest and enthusiasm for the game.
